Help me- I hate Citations I hate them! What is the big deal with “Citations” & “WHY” are they required? Identify the source of the information as well as provide information as to where the information can be located. This can be helpful especially for readers seeking further information on the subject matter. Citations allow the author to document the original source; properly identifying the originator, as well as ensuring credit or recognition. Think about it: Give credit where credit is deserved, it would be very unethical to receive credit for another individuals work.  Protect yourself- do not take credit for faulty work?
